GCF program evaluation

Mongolia is committed to reducing GHG emissions by 22.7% and supplying 30% of the country’s energy through renewable energy by 2030. The BRP has conducted the Interim and Final Independent Evaluation of the Green Climate Fund (GCF)-financed program “FP046: Renewable Energy Program #1 – Solar” implemented by XacBank, the GCF accredited entity. The evaluations have conducted in association with the Research and Development Center for Climate Change and Sustainable Development (CCSD) NGO and Nomadic New Energy LLC in 2021. The Program will contribute to the nationally determined contribution (NDC) to reduce greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) by 12,270 tCO2eq and provide 15,395 MWh of electricity annually with 10 MW Solar Power Plant (Sumber SPP) in Sumber soum of Govisumber aimag of Mongolia.
