The evaluation team of the BlackRock Partners LLC conducted the monitoring and evaluation of the pilot project of the US State Department funded the Building Capacity to Counter Illegal Mining project, implemented by the Asia Foundation Mongolia. The monitoring and evaluation assessed the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the exploration of innovative new approaches to prevent, detect and investigate illegal mining activities in the target locations, conducted cost-benefit analysis of the procurement support of the project and identified results aimed to strengthen detection strategies for identifying criminal mining.
